Our Mission.
Military service shouldn't become difficult to explain the moment the uniform comes off.
From Combat to Corporate exists to help service members and veterans translate military experience into meaningful civilian careers and professional lives.
Military service develops leadership, discipline, accountability, resilience, teamwork, technical ability and mission-focused problem solving.
Those capabilities have tremendous value in the civilian workforce.
The challenge is often translation.
Civilian employers may not immediately understand military terminology, occupational specialties, command responsibilities or mission accomplishments. Service members may know how to lead teams, manage complex operations and solve difficult problems—but not how to communicate those experiences in the language of civilian employers.
FCTC exists to help bridge that gap.
-
To empower service members and veterans to translate military experience into meaningful civilian careers through professional development, education, mentorship, practical experience and connections to employers and professional networks.
-
A future in which every transitioning service member has access to the knowledge, network, experience and opportunity needed to build a successful civilian career.
Our long-term vision is for From Combat to Corporate to become a trusted national bridge between military service and civilian opportunity.
-
We believe successful career transitions require more than a resume. They require understanding.
That is why the FCTC model focuses on six stages:
Discover
Understand your experience and identify possible career directions.
Translate
Convert military responsibilities and achievements into civilian professional value.
Develop
Build the skills and knowledge necessary for your target career.
Connect
Create relationships with mentors, professionals and employers.
Experience
Gain practical exposure to civilian industries and professional environments.
Launch
Move forward with greater preparation, confidence and support.
-
SERVICE
We remain committed to those who have served and to the families and communities that supported them.
PURPOSE
Transition is not the end of a mission. It is the beginning of another.
OPPORTUNITY
Service members should have access to meaningful pathways to civilian careers.
COMMUNITY
Successful transitions are strengthened through mentorship, relationships and professional networks.
EXCELLENCE
We seek to build programs, partnerships and experiences worthy of the people we serve.
-
We will not ask service members to erase their military experience in order to succeed in the civilian world.
We will help them understand it. Translate it. Build upon it. And use it as the foundation for what comes next.
The uniform changes. The value doesn’t. Start your transition now.
